  1. Take screenshots of any size

you can press command, shift  4 then click and drag over the area you want to take a pic of to screenshot only that area

  1. go to system preferences click general and checking the automatically hide and show the menu bar button.

  1. select the files you want to rename click the settings button at the top of the Finder window and filling out the settings how you need the files to be renamed

  1. Click and hold on the green maximize button then press the drop-down button for the side you want the page to be on

  1. Go to system preferences then keyboard and finally application shortcuts to create new shortcuts.

  1. by pressing shift option and the up or down volume buttons

  1. go to the Finder and moving the files you want directly from where they are over to the iCloud tab after setting up iCloud in preferences

Curing an insomnimac 

  1. press f4 at the top of your keyboard and opening activity monitor in the folder named other clicking on the view tab at the top of the screen and turning on preventing sleep to find the app causing problems.

  1. Go to system preferences then display turn on “show mirroring options in the menu bar” and open the new tab at the top of the screen on the right side. Select the tv and type in the code that appears.

  1. copy the text regularly then to paste click on where you want to put the text and go to the edit tab at the top of the screen next to file, then you can simply click paste but match format.

Having multiple desktops

  1. Press the F3 key just above the number 3 and then press the plus button in the top right. In order to switch back to your original desktop or make more just press f3 again.

Signing PDF’s without printing

  1. When in preview you can click on the button that looks like a marker and then the button that says “sign”.

Tool search bar

  1. at the top of the screen under the help dropdown there is a search bar to find the tools you need.

Sunday shut down

  1.  If your computer is running slow and you want it to run fast shut it down so it will last.
